Yellow River Pedestrian Bridge Grand Opening Set for June 10
Residents are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the Yellow River Bridge, a project that has been in the works for years.
On June 10, Gwinnett County officials and dignitaries will gather at the Yellow River Pedestrian Bridge to celebrate its grand opening. Residents are welcome to attend as well. The bridge, which is at the intersection of Highway 78 and Lake Lucerne, has been in the works since 2005, according to Wayne Hill, interim Executive Director at Evermore Community Improvement District. The bridge is part of the Highway 78 improvements, but also plays a significant role in plans for future greenspace development. In a study conducted for the National Homebuilders Association, walking and bike paths are viewed as extremely important by 74% of buyers throughout the US.
