Gwinnett Police say three men robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville, Ga. They have arrested one suspect and are still looking for two others.
One suspect in an armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville last month is now in police custody. However, Gwinnett County Police are still looking for two potential accomplices in the crime. On Friday, December 28th, two black males wearing masks walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 3065 Lawrenceville Highway just before 9:30am. This branch is located in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The two men inside the bank have been identified by GCPD as 26 year old Jamar Terrell of 2769 Herrington Woods Road, Lawrenceville and 24 year old Marcus “Bankhead” Rutledge. Gwinnett County Police say they believe an elderly woman's son may be responsible for her death. Officers were called to 1139 Simonton Glen Way in unincorporated Lawrenceville at 10:28 Tuesday morning. The husband of 72 year old Phyllis Wilson and her care taker came back to the house to find the body of the partially paralyzed woman. Officers observed some signs of trauma on Mrs. Wilson's body, but did not know the extent of her injuries. The Gwinnett Medical Examiner's Office determined she had been stabbed to death. The Wilsons' son, 42 year old Mark Wilson who suffers from schizophrenia lives with the couple. However, police have not been able to track him down. A man accused of murdering a Lawrenceville child more than five years ago, has been arrested in Mexico according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. A joint investigation by Mexican authorities, The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office, The Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Department of Justice led to the arrest of Christian Vasquez. On June 21, 2008, arrest warrants for Vasquez were obtained, charging him with the murder of a 3 year old girl at a home on Stillwater Lane in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
