Traffic Alert: Snellville Project Added to Gwinnett Road Closure Report

The weekly Gwinnett County road closure report from the Gwinnett DOT (for May 4-10). Six road projects, one of which is in Snellville, has been added to this week's report: Buford Duluth Lawrenceville   Snellville This project was removed from the list: Duluth: Sidney Lanier Boulevard at Pleasant Hill Road, which had lane closures throughout April. Traffic Alert: Roads Closed During Snellville Days Parade

If you're headed to City Hall Saturday morning, be aware of road closures.

The Snellville Police Department has warned residents that from approximately 9:45 - 11:30 a.m., traffic near City Hall will be blocked due to the Snellville Days parade. Wisteria Drive will be closed between Highway 78 and North Road, North Road will be closed between Wisteria Drive and Oak Road, and Oak Road will be closed between North Road and Highway 78. Only emergency or other government vehicles will be allowed into the closed section after all the roads are blocked, according to Snellville Police. No portion of Scenic Highway or Highway 78 will be shut down.  Police advise to be on the lookout for the men and women in reflective vests out in the roadway directing traffic.

Traffic Alert: Expect Construction Barrels on These Local Roads

The weekly Gwinnett County road closure report from the Gwinnett DOT (for April 27-May 3).  These projects are no longer on the report: Lilburn: Indian Way from Dickens Road to 250 feet northwest of Dickens Road, which closed for three weeks for drainage improvements. Grayson: Lakeview Road from Pinehurst View Drive to Shoreline Trace, which required lane closures last week for storm drainage improvements. Related Content:

Intermittent Road Closures on Highway 124 Scheduled Through May

Here's the situation in the county for February 16-22, 2013.

The following information is courtesy of the Gwinnett Transportation Department. In and Near Snellville: SR 20/Clayton Street/Grayson Highway from SR 124/Scenic Highway to Cooper Road/Ozora Road will require intermittent lane closures through June for ATMS improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. SR 84 / Grayson Highway at Pinehurst Road will require intermittent lane closures through February for intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. SR 124/Centerville Highway from Norris Lake Road to Oak Rd will require intermittent lane closures through May for ATMS improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will…
