Sex Offenders Living in Snellville
Georgia law is allowing a number of sex offenders to live anywhere they want. We've updated the list for Halloween.
UPDATED Oct. 31, 2011: Up until last year, Georgia had some of the nation's strictest rules for sex offenders. Now, those rules have been relaxed allowing a number of registered sex offenders to live anywhere they want to. In general, registered sex offenders are banned from living within 1,000 feet of schools, parks, and other places where children congregate. However, the rules does not apply to sex offenders convicted before June 4, 2003. Additionally, when a new school, or other facility with children, is built, registered sex offenders do not have to move from their home or employer, regardless of the distance.
