Snellville First Baptist Treats Britt Elementary Students to Musical Theatre
Around 540 students attended a live performance of 'Annie.'
On Nov. 7, students at Snellville’s Britt Elementary School were treated to a special event by their neighbor and community partner, Snellville First Baptist Church. The church was holding dinner theater performances of the musical Annie from Nov. 7-11, and they hosted a special, additional performance for Britt’s entire student body on Wednesday morning, according to a recent news release. The performance allowed students to learn an important portion of Gwinnett County’s music curriculum in an authentic environment. In between scenes, an emcee from the church staff taught students the customs of attending a formal performance, such as when to and not to applaud and how to greet the protagonists and antagonists during scenes.
