Local PTAs Collect Snowflakes for Sandy Hook Students

The project is designed to create a "winter wonderland" for Sandy Hook students when they go to their temporary school in Chalk Hill for the remainder of the school year.

Brookwood's Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is encouraging students and families to participate in a project called "Snowflakes for Sandy Hook."  Kathy Johnson, parent of a tenth grade student at Grayson High, sent an email to Brookwood High's PTSA stating that a friend of hers has children in a school just six miles from Sandy Hook Elementary, the scene of a devastating mass shooting. Her friend sent her the following letter: "I have heard so many requests for ways to help Sandy Hook families. In response, I wanted to let you all know that our elementary PTO has been asked to create a winter wonderland for Sandy Hook students when they come to Chalk Hill for the remainder of the school year.
