Duluth Patch confirmed through court records that Mrs. Jones filed for divorce Monday (Jan. 31) in Gwinnett County Superior Court in Lawrenceville. Andruw R. Jones, a former Atlanta Braves centerfielder, was arrested and charged with battery in a domestic dispute that occurred between he and his wife at their home in unincorporated Duluth early Christmas morning, Gwinnett Police reported. Gwinnett Police responded to a domestic dispute call at the Jones home about 1:25 a.m. Dec. 25. During the investigation of this call, probable cause was developed to arrest Jones for battery, according to police. Jones was transported to Gwinnett County Jail and charged with battery, police reported. He was booked into the jail at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday and released at 11 a.m. after posting a $2,400 bond, according to jail records.
