Movie Review: 'The Watch' May Be Unwatchable
A group of funny guys attempt to make a funny movie that has really bad timing and may be unwatchable.
Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade join forces in a neighborhood to fight off an alien invasion in "The Watch." "The Watch" has a crippling identity problem. This movie desperately wants to be "Ghostbusters," where funny actors confront supernatural happenings, but it never happens. It settles on below-the-belt potty humor that's just not that funny. The film skews to a young male audience, just in case you're wondering. There is, however, only so much one can take when it comes to blasting aliens and trading jokes relating to testicles of various species…I mean really? This is comedy? Some will conclude that "The Watch" is destined for failure. The film had to change its title from "Neighborhood Watch" to "The Watch…
