Reward Offered in Theft of a Dozen Guns
Snellville Police are offering a Playstation 3 or Best Buy gift card for information leading to an arrest.
On Sept. 11, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., unknown persons entered a home in the Hawthorne Glen subdivision in Snellville through a back window. They took 12 weapons, including handguns, shotguns and rifles. One of the rifles was an AR-15, an assault rifle. Snellville Police are offering a reward in the form of a $350 Best Buy gift card or a Playstation 3. "We believe that there is a possibility that juveniles are involved," said Sgt. Trey Downs, "so we thought offering this reward would be more appealing to the group we are targeting." The owner should also be held accountable for failing to properly secure these weapons. No one should be able to enter your premises and pick up an AR and leave. A safe maybe??!!!!......especially if you're a serious gun collector!!!!!
