Funeral Arrangements Have Been Made for Sadie Shaffer
The funeral will be held on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.
Sadie Shaffer passed away on December 18, 2012, after a year long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Francis Shaffer, her two children, Ms. Marion Shaffer and Dr. Michael Shaffer. She is survived by her son Mr. Gene Shaffer and her daughter Colonel Gayle O’Rear, Ret. Sadie spent over 25 years as an Army wife and traveled all over the world with her husband and four children. When her husband retired from Emory University School of Dentistry, she continued her active life as a mother in addition to pursuing her love of sewing, gardening, and reading.
