ReplyAccording to the 21 line items on the Cruser & Mitchell invoice dated October 18, 2012 to November 30, 2012, almost all appear to relate to Kelly Kautz's defense in the Swinney lawsuit, the firing of Tony Powell and review of pretty much everything the city's insurance council, H. Gray, presented. I'm hard pressed to see how Cruser & Mitchell weren't working specifically for Kautz during that time.

ReplyI have the documents, which I will post tomorrow, showing that Cruser & Mitchell were in fact conducting work for Kautz from October 18, 2012 to November 30,2012 specifically for the Marilyn Swinney lawsuit and PRIOR TO the December 13, 2012 contract date. I will also post the check for $1,385.00 that Kautz paid C&M without the council's knowledge or approval. The issue at tonight's council meeting was for C&M Invoices for the Dec. 13, 2012 CONTRACTED services totaling about $5,000.00. I was also at the council meeting where C&M were told by the council that they might not get paid for the services they were conducting at that time. Kautz has created an absolute mess for the City of Snellville and her manipulations are hurting good people who are trying to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

ReplyGail, you are a gracious and professional woman to so willingly promote goodwill for Snellville but then, I knew that about you a long time ago. Push come to shove, Snellville 1st, Grayson 2nd. Just saying that I love healthy competition. ;)

ReplyDave, the word on the street is that Kautz made a call on Sunday asking that the 2:00 grand opening be delayed until she could get home, change and get back to Briscoe Park. Did she really think it was appropriate to ask that the 100 +/- people already in attendance wait for her? Never mind, don't answer. She stated at last night's city council meeting that Sunday was her "family time". Now the question becomes, which lie do you believe? GRRR!!!

So a simple typo necessitated the threat of a lawsuit? That was meant to bully Patch and we all know it. GRRR!!!

Beth, that was part of the issue. When Marilyn sued the city, the insurance kicked in. We know Kautz hasn't like Tony Powell or apparently any of the attorneys who don't do as she says. She didn't agree with the insurance attorney to the point that the opinion of a Constitutional Law Professor from Georgia State had to be called. The professor gave the same opinion that Powell and the insurance attorney; she would lose in a court of law because she had violated Marilyn's rights. Many of us believe that she hired Cruser & Mitchell trying to find an attorney who would tell her that what she wanted to hear.
