Byte Ideas and Solutions started as an idea to bring large enterprise IT solutions to smaller businesses. The main focus of Byte Ideas is two-fold. One is to develop unique solutions for businesses in an industry that tries to place all companies into a mold that may or may not fit. The second is to change the perception of the industry to businesses that still carry a distinct old-school mentality to Information Technology. This allows businesses to save money in an economy that seems to be focused on squeezing water out of a rock, while showing companies the benefits of a well maintained and properly operational Information network.

At Byte Ideas we try to maintain a progressive atmosphere. Rarely will you see us in a white-collar shirt and tie. This is a little more lax than what most are used to seeing from a traditional IT firm, but we do not claim to be a traditional firm. We aim to impress with our knowledge.  Keeping up with the most current hardware and software allows us to utilize unique solutions that may have been used in the past as well as new solutions that have come out with current technology.  We seek to apply our fourty-plus years of experience in a way that benefits all around us. Our goal is not to solve specific issues that are currently at hand, our value is in the information that we present to our clients to prevent future problems that can arise. In fact, precisely because we are at the edge of the information frontier, we deliver solutions that our competition is not prepared to even consider. Our services are numerous and critical to the business success of our clients. More importantly, all the services we provide are mature and developed. We extend care well beyond just being reactive and fixing what is already broken. We give our clients the ability to prevent a large number of breakages, security violations, data theft, attacks, and other forms of internet attacks. Our services include regular maintenance, security best practices, continuous assessments, and software implementations/updates.   With a balanced view of strategy, people, process and technology, we work with companies to understand their unique business needs, and to develop and implement effective business strategies and technology solutions. Clients benefit from our tradition of transferring knowledge throughout each engagement. Jason McMinn Bio

The man behind Byte Ideas is Jason McMinn and he started in the industry in 1994. He was a student in a new program in Flint, Michigan which was designed to teach teenagers valuable skills to use after graduation. A visiting teacher to the program saw a lot of untapped potential in Jason and decided to take him under his wing and mold him into an IT professional. After working with this person for a number of years, Jason decided to make his start in the corporate IT world at nineteen years old. He carried a number of positions that allowed him to gain the experience needed to accomplish low to high-level network solutions. After working for several years in the corporate IT world, he saw a need for an IT a company that did not try to put all companies in the same cookie-cutter solutions. This led Jason to create a place that allows him to use his vast experience in a way that allowed him to accomplish his main goal, which is to provide custom tailored solutions for each and every individual and company.  He has created a company that fills the need for excellence when it comes to any and all IT needs and any person or company that wants a network for their workplace will benefit from his company. In his free time Jason plays minor leauge football for the Atlanta Prime and the Georgia Bandits.  He is also a avid gamer and comic book collector.

Joe Harris

Joe is still relatively new to the IT machine. He started an internship with Byte Ideas and within a few months proved his worth by learning some of the more difficult concepts very quickly and using his previous business experience to streamline operations in the company as a whole. He brings a long past of customer service experience to the company and is quickly taking on more tasks to become a new face for Byte Ideas. Current customers appreciate his willingness to work hard to fix problems and issues in their networks and new customers have shown great interest in his ability to listen to their issues and develop a custom tailored solution that fits their needs.

Combined, Joe and Jason make a great team and work together to complete large projects in an efficient and timely manner. They bounce ideas off of each other in an almost comical manner at times and still remain constructive and light hearted. Their combined skills have proven to be quite effective and as every project is completed, Joe’s knowledge grows. He ultimately wants to be involved in running the firm in a management role while still having the ability to offer technical support when the situation demands it. Joe is a car enthusiast as well as avid gamer.
