Cyndi- I Hope that your experience with this stuff (and this article) will help you make a decision as to whether you think its a good or bad thing for you to be doing.. Maybe you can tell others about your experience, you might save somebody's life one day. Basically, it comes down to a decision~ & besides, You only get one brain...DON'T mess it up- you will need it even more when you get old.

Anita, usually its best to prune the dwarfs down when they are still young to encourage a bushy structure for when they get older, but if they are older and need rejuvination, then you can prune them down.. Usually the dwarfs can handle some serious pruning "to the knuckles" as you called it .. Heehee..

ReplyIts surprising how many people have filled our jails because of marijuana charges. Another issue (and this might be a little off base of the article) but the fact is that when someone gets arrested for marijuana, they have a drug charge on their record. But if they are arrested for DUI, its "just a DUI". So, employers look at someones record and say "Oh, a DUI- well, it's not as bad as a Drug charge". Back to the article: I just want everybody to be aware of how detrimental it can be to sell products like the herbal incense to people.. Please, look at the products the next time you see them and let the store Owner know what you think .. Thanks y'all - for reading this article.. ~Melissa

ReplyAgreed! Can you believe, the media has focused more on the "privacy" of Demi Moore's 911 call- rather than the real Reason the call was made. Marijuana definitely needs to be legalized, especially for medicinal uses- and I think it should be a state issue, not a federal. I too have known people who couldnt eat due to chemotherapy. Thanks for all the great comments...

Sharon, In my opinion, the seed pods add a nice winter interest.. It will not affect the blooms for the coming year if you take them off.. Some people prefer to take the seed pods off in early spring because it makes the tree look nicer in spring- and thats fine! You can trim them off if you like, like a haircut for the Crape Myrtle.. :)
