Summits Wayside Tavern Celebrating 20th Anniversary

The Snellville bar is hosting a 10-course dinner and beer specials for the month of September.

Summits Wayside Tavern is celebrating its 20th anniversary in Snellville this month with a 10-course dinner and daily beer specials.

Every day through Sept. 21, kegs will be tapped from 11 a.m. with a different beer. Noteworthy brews include the Great Divide 19th Anniversary Wood Aged Ale (Sept. 19), O’Dempsey’s Your Black Heart Russian Imp Stout with vanilla (Sept. 7), Rogue Charlie 1981 Ale (Sept. 10) and Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (Sept. 21). Drinks from local breweries include SweetWater Cuvee de Freddy (Sept. 13), Red Brick Barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout (Sept. 9), and Terrapin Jerome and Spikes Collaboration Barley Rye Ale (Sept. 8).

The 10-course meal, which is called "A Night of Charcuterie, Boulangerie and Tom Foolery," will be served at 7 p.m. next Tuesday (Sept. 10) in Snellville and Monday (Sept. 9) at the Cumming location. 

Foods include: Tonkotsu Ramen with braised pork belly; two courses of European cheeses; a course with four different types of bacon; ginger scallion noodles; Manchego smoked paprika corn on the cob; steak and liverwurst sliders; a variety of salami; a third course of cheese; and an apple tart. 

Guests also will taste three Michigan beers, one each from Bell's Brewing, Founders Brewing and New Holland Brewing. Check out the full menu on the PDF above.
