Police: Woman Flees After Store Finds $500+ Worth of Video Games in Purse

Police were not able to locate her or two other subjects after they left the Best Buy in Snellville on foot.

Three suspects were able to flee on foot after they allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of video games from the Best Buy in Snellville earlier this week.

According to the Snellville Police report, one woman and two men entered the 1709 Scenic Highway store around 5:35 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 18) and went straight to the video game department. The loss prevention officer told authorities that the woman took some of the games straight off the shelves and put them in her purse.

They immediately went to the exit, where they ran into two loss prevention officers. They attempted to detain the subjects, but the woman was the only one to comply while the men fled on foot.

When asked if they could search her bag, she said, "OK, take them out."

She, too, fled out the store when the officer had his hands on the merchandise. The area was checked by authorities, but the suspects were not found.

Totaling $577.58, twenty-four video games were discovered in her purse.
